Located in Alex Smith Park, 16731 Highway 237 Doddridge, AR 71834, the Miller County Gun Range provides a dedicated space for firearm enthusiasts to hone their skills. Operating Hours
Range Hours Throughout the Year
From October to April, the range welcomes visitors from 08:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., ensuring ample daylight for safe shooting activities.
During the warmer months of May through September, our extended hours from 08:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. allow for more flexible scheduling and enjoyment of the range.
Please note that all visitors must adhere to the posted hours and regulations to maintain a safe and enjoyable environment for everyone.
Permit Regulations
To ensure the safe and orderly use of the Miller County Gun Range, permits are required for all shooters aged sixteen and older. These permits are essential for maintaining the facility and ensuring compliance with local regulations. Shooters under sixteen must be accompanied by an adult who holds a valid permit.
Permits can be purchased at the Miller County Sheriff’s Office. The cost is $30.00 for Miller County residents and $50.00 for those residing outside the county. Each permit is valid for one year from the date of purchase, and renewal is required annually. All funds collected are allocated to the upkeep and improvement of the gun range facilities.
Target Requirements
All shooters are responsible for providing their own targets and target holders when using the Miller County Gun Range. It is important to adhere to these guidelines to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all participants. The use of cans, bottles, or boxes as targets is strictly prohibited to maintain the integrity and cleanliness of the range.
